Death from Fire-Damp at Dawley.

On Friday last an inquest was held at the Church Wickets, in this place, on the body of William Jones, aged 18 years, who was killed in the Spout Pit, belonging to the Old Park Company, by the explosion of fire-damp.

The jury returned a verdict of "Accidental death".

Note: The Church Wickets is a public house on the North side of Dawley.
