News in Brief - TRAGEDIES AND DISASTERS.

While carrying out some special repairs at the Cabbage Hall Colliery, near Dudley, James Cole was killed and Samuel Nash seriously injured by a fall of coal, caused by the supports being accidentally pushed out of position.

In the same paper (page 2):

News in Brief - Commercial and Industrial

The miners employed at Riggonheads Colliery, Haddingtonshire, have gone on strike, alleging that they are required to draw coal at an unreasonable distance.

Where is/was Haddingtonshire, could it be near Edinburgh?
